Activities Calendar

The Goodman Community Center is proud to host a variety of activities for people of all ages in our community. Our activities calendar lists special events or ongoing activities outside of our regular programming. If you are holding an event or activity at the Goodman Community Center and you'd like the public to know about it, read this PDF on how to submit an activity.

To edit an existing event, please email matt@goodmancenter.org with the changes. He can make updates Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.

8:30 AM-6:00 PM Lussier Fitness Center

Use the fitness center to stay in shape or get in shape. Annual memberships are $225 for adults and $175 for seniors over 60. Six month memberships are $150. for adults and $100 for seniors. Convenience cards for 26 uses are available for $81.25 and 10 use passes are $32.50.

9:00 AM-5:00 PM Madison Gem and Mineral Club, Open Lab

Open lab hours are for anyone with certification. Check the MGMC website for workshops and classes where you can learn how to use the equipment and tools of the art.

Days/Times: Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Location: Large Project Art Room in gym building

Fee: Yes

5:15 PM-7:00 PM Open Mic Night

Students showcase their talents. We also offer Glass Nickel Pizza at our concession stand, which is staffed by our teen volunteers. Please check out our Facebook page for updated information. All events are drug- and alcohol-free and open to people of all ages.

Days: 3rd Saturdays

Ages: High School or Middle School students are eligible to participate

12:30 PM-3:00 PM Euchre Tournament

Friendly euchre tournament for seniors. Enjoy coffee and dessert and join in the echre fun. Top three scorers win prizes.

Dessert time: 12:30-1:00 pm.

Euchre game: 1:00-3:00 pm

Days: First Saturday of each month, and some additional Saturdays as announced.

Location: Bolz A. Confirm room on welcome board in lobby.

Fee: $1 to feed the kitty

Registration required: No.

3:00 PM-5:00 PM Single Parents by Choice

Madison Single Parents by Choice is an informal group of men and women who have either made a conscious decision to parent solo or find themselves parenting without another engaged or responsible parent.  We provide support to one another and a time and space to hang out and socialize and play with our kids once a month. We don't meet in June, July or August.
Age requirements: Single parents and children of all ages

Fee: None
Days: 3rd Saturdays (meets second Saturday in April)
East Side History Club

Learn and reminisce about the history of Madison's east side.
